Denmark Takes Over EU Presidency

As of January 1st 2012 Denmark holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Danish Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister for Economic Affairs and Interior, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for European Affairs, has presented the Programme of the Danish EU Presidency entitled “Europe At Work”. There are four fundamental priorities in the Programme: a responsible Europe, a dynamic Europe, a green Europe, and a safe Europe.
