ERB Executive Board meeting in Kalmar

On 5th September 2013 the ERB Executive Board met in Kalmar, Sweden to discuss several important aspect of the ERB cooperation.

During the first part of the meeting members of the Board shared their views and opinions about the 4th Annual Forum of ERB Stakeholders held a day earlier in Kalmar. Following up on the previous meeting held in May in Karlskrona, the Board continued the discussion on the future legal status of the organisation allowing all delegations to present their comments on the recently submitted draft statutes of the future international association to be established on the Polish law and with a seat in Poland. 

The second part of the Executive Board meetings included several presentations on the activities currently undertaken within the ERB cooperation. This included a detailed information about recent activities of the ERB Youth Board, with main focus on the recently launched SYPERB project. Also, the ERB Task Force on Labour Mobility presented a short report on its recent activities and a representative of the Regional Council of Kalmar County updated the Board on the preparation of the WaterNets project application. 

The meeting continued with a short report about the visit of the Executive Board of the Regional Council in Kalmar County to the regions of Pomorskie, Kaliningrad and Klaipeda between 27-30th August 2013, and concluded with a brief information from the International Permanent Secretariat  on the cooperation of ERB with other organisation, as well as the implementation of the joint ERB budget.

The next meeting of the ERB Executive Board meeting will be held on 14-15th November in Olsztyn, Poland.
