Vacancy at International Secretariat of Euroregion Baltic

Over the recent years Euroregion Baltic has been developing steadily as one of the important cross-border and international cooperation platforms in the Baltic Sea Region. Acting through its International Permanent Secretariat based in Elbląg, Poland, which has been the coordinating structure within Euroregion Baltic since 2004, the organisation has managed to become a more effective lobbying and knowledge-sharing platform. At the same time it has been constantly increasing its impact through implementation of international projects, most of them within the INTERREG South Baltic Programmme.

To continue on the path of constant development we are currently looking for a new Head of the International Permanent Secretariat who will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the organisation. This is a full-time position requiring excellent managerial, administrative and social skills, as well as a good deal of travelling, but offering exciting international work environment and attractive conditions. We are looking for a reliable, well-organised person who will be able to lead a small team of dedicated project managers and interns in an international working environment.

The Interreg South Baltic Programme is looking for a Junior Project Officer for a short-term replacement until 31st March 2019, with the possibility of extension.

The South Baltic JS is looking for reliable, committed and creative Communication and Capitalisation Officer.

Located in the dynamic agglomeration of Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia, at the South Baltic shores, the Joint Secretariat (JS) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the South Baltic Programme 2014-2020, whose aim is to unlock the potential for blue and green growth through cross-border cooperation between the coastal regions of Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden.
The team of the Secretariat provides advice to applicants, organises calls for project proposals, assesses submitted funding applications, monitors the progress of running operations and assists the decision-making bodies of the Programme. Aimed at spreading the word about the benefits of cross-border cooperation, the JS furthermore coordinates the work of the Regional Contact Points and ensures the implementation of Programme-wide promotion, communication, dissemination and capitalisation activities.

The Communication and Capitalisation Officer will be responsible for: communication strategy, advice and guidance to programme beneficiaries, organization of workshops, meetings, conferences, external communication (website and social media management, press releases, newsletter) and internal one providing support in the Programme Contact Points network.
The ideal profile for a candidate is an enthusiastic, motivated and positive person who has already got at least two years of experience in the area of communication, and strategic communication planning. Proficient English skills are required.

The Interreg BSR Programme is looking for a project officer at the MA/JS office in Rostock/Germany to support the Secretariat’s project unit in giving advice to applicants, assessing applications as well as in monitoring and supervising transnational cooperation projects in the fields of innovation, natural resources and transport.

The vacancy is open till 3 April 2017. The job is a full-time position for two years with an option for a prolongation.  The selected candidate is expected to start employment as soon as possible.
