Baltic Sea Award 2015

The Baltic Sea Fund is nominating candidates for the Baltic Sea Award 2015. Any person who or organisation which have done meaningful and outstanding achievements for the Baltic Sea environment are welcome to apply for the contest. More information about the nomination can be found in the attached brochure. Nominations can be made at the Baltic Sea Fund web page www.ostersjofonden.org (In English, “Nominate prizewinner”). The nominations shall be submitted by November 21th 2014. The laureates will receive their prizes at a solemn ceremony held in Mariehamn on 8th of May 2015. Prize winners are announced one month before the award ceremony.

The Baltic Sea Fund, based on the Åland Islands, have for 25 years rewarded persons and institutions who have acted as forerunners in the protection of the Baltic Sea. All together more than 710.000 euros have been given out to 77 prizewinners from all around the Baltic Sea region. The award winner for the year 2014 was Professor Hans von Storch from Germany.
