Capacity Building Project Analysis of Barriers for Project Development

The Capacity Building Project has recently published the final version of the Analysis of Barriers for Project Development.

The report is based on the results of questionnaires and interviews with potential project beneficiaries of the South Baltic CBC Programme, and provides important information on barriers that hamper smooth development of projects. The analysis was carried out in two steps. In the first step a standardized web-based and printed closed-question questionnaire was prepared and disseminated among among a broad group of potential Programme beneficiaries. In total 220 questionnaires were analysed. The second included a series of indepth interviews with selected potential beneficiaries in each country. The interviews were conducted both through face-to-face meetings and over the phone. The analysis was made, taking into consideration all aspects of the cross border project development and implementation. In total 56 interviews were conducted – 10 in Denmark, 10 in Germany, 16 in Lithuania, 10 in Poland and 10 in Sweden, thus providing a comprehensive and thorough picture of main problems faced by potential project beneficiaries within the South Baltic area.
