Capacity Building consultations free-of-charge

The Capacity Building Project is now offering free-of-charge consultations to support potential beneficiaries of the South Baltic Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 in the project development process.

All potential beneficiaries with a concrete project idea and in need of support from an expert who can assist them in the process of project development, are welcome to apply for the Rent-an-Expert service by filling in the on-line Application Form on the Capacity Building Project website. Further details concerning the service are described in Terms of Reference for Rent an Expert service. The list of currently available experts can be found here. The applications can be submitted by 15th August 2010.

About the Project

The Capacity Building Project, currently being implemented within the South Baltic Programme, was launched to help potential beneficiaries of the Programme in the preparation and implementation of cross-border projects.

The aim of the Capacity Building Project is to support participation in the South Baltic Programme, particularly among local authorities and NGOs who constitute the target group of the Project.

Potential beneficiaries who are planning a project within the South Baltic Programme and need assistance from the project, ma apply for the following free-of-charge services:

Training on project development– trainings in national languages will introduce the  participants to a variety of tools and methods used to identify, develop and manage projects; the participants will learn how to generate project ideas, identify partners, plan and prepare projects, estimate costs etc;

Cross-border workshops– the workshops will be addressed to beneficiaries who have already identified concrete ideas for development of projects within the SB Programme; participation in the workshops will prepare beneficiaries for concrete cooperation in joint projects;

Individual project consultations– potential beneficiaries can receive free-of-charge consultations on project development.
