ERB participates in Baltic Executive Programme

This week the representatives of Euroregion Baltic participated in the first series of workshops organised by the Swedish Institute within the framework of the Baltic Executive Programme.

The Baltic Executive Programme is a leadership programme designed to tackle the ever more pressing question of how to unleash the full potential of transnational cooperation? How can we better, faster, and more efficiently solve the challenges that we face together within the region?

The programme is developed by the Swedish Institute and targets executives within local and regional government in the Baltic Sea Region. On December 5-7, the programme gathered 30 politicians and civil servants from the Baltic Sea Region in Sopot, Poland.

Some of the highlights from the first day were group discussions focused on how the added value of transnational cooperation is currently communicated and the need for a more demand-driven pan-Baltic cooperation. An intense day came to a close with a tour of the European Solidarity Centre and a theatre workshop at the Centre.

Marco Steinberg, expert on innovation in the public sector, opened the second day with an inspiring session on how to innovate in a world of uncertainty. This was followed by interactive sessions on strategic communication, interactive design and personal branding.

The Baltic Executive Programme is divided in two modules, each covering three days. The second module will take place in Riga in February 2017.
