Based on the results of the Info Info Day on EU Funding for Youth Organisations held in Brussels on 13‐14th November 2014, the European Youth Forum and its Working Group on Funding drafted a guide on all potential funding opportunities for youth cooperation in the new EU programming period 2014-2020.

Entitled ‘MONEY. Millions of Opportunities Non Explored by You(th) in EU Programmes‘, the guide provides comprehensive information on funding available to youth organisations in the wider EU funding environments, taking into account both indirect and direct sources of funding. Although Erasmus+ still remains the main financial tool for youth organisations, still it is important to explore other potential funding sources in order implement different activities and provide relevant experience to young people.

The guide focuses on the most important EU programmes in which youth organisations could participate as potential partners or lead beneficiaries. While providing essential information on many EU programmes, it also focuses on practical questions such as types of actions eligible for funding, types and levels of funding, eligibility of applicants and application procedures. Where possible is also serves as a potential source of inspiration by giving examples of what has been funded under previous programmes.

The entire guide can be downloaded here.

Members of the Euroregion Baltic and representatives of other important stakeholders involved in the ERB cooperation met on the 28th October 2014 in Gdańsk, Poland for the 5th Annual Forum of ERB Stakeholders entitled “Labour mobility, higher education and youth cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region – addressing common challenges”. The event was organized jointly with the South Baltic Professionals project and hosted by the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

During the Forum stakeholders took part in discussions on the challenges and problems currently faced by the inhabitants of the regions of the South Baltic area, such as labour market mobility, internationalisation of higher education institutions and youth cooperation.

The Forum tried to identify barriers hampering the development of labour mobility, and find out if creation of stable and dedicated networks of relevant stakeholders could be a key to solving this problem.

Further discussions concerned methods allowing universities and other higher education institutions to cooperate better on the international level, thus providing students with better education and other skills that would allow them to pursue their careers in increasingly competitive working environments.

Finally, the prospects of youth cooperation in our region and how it could be bolstered by relevant actors were investigated.
