Report concerning the governance of macro-regional strategies

European Commission published its report concerning the governance of macro-regional strategies. The report proposes among others greater role for the member states in the implementation of the EUSBSR and will be discussed during the Italian presidency.

EESC opinion on civil society in the EUSBSR

The European Economic and Social Committee at its 492nd plenary session, held on 18 and 19 September 2013, adopted the opinion on enhancing civil society partnerships to deliver the Baltic Sea Region Strategy, available here in all language versions.

The European Commission has published the first study to weigh up the success of the EU's Baltic and Danube macro-regional strategies and to provide recommendations for the future.
