Region Warmia-Masuria

North-eastern region in Poland, it presents few curiosities like a place where the borders of Poland, Lithuania and Russia join; the Elbląg-Ostródzki canal is unique in the whole world monument of hydro-engineering, and the Wielka Żuława which is the biggest inland island in Europe with 84 ha of surface. The region hosted famous historical characters like Nicolaus Copernicus and Johann Gottfried Herder.
